RAMEY, Adeline Alameda Santos, passed away August 16, 2013. She was born October 3, 1917 in Martinez, CA . Adeline is the sixth child of Mabel and Anthony Alameda who lived in Grizzle Island, CA, and moved to Woodland, CA in 1937. Adeline married Charles Santos from Benicia. They had a dairy farm in Fairfield and later one in Sacramento. Adeline worked side-by-side with her husband during those years. In 1953, they moved to Davis where they owned Santos Food Bank, where she worked. Adeline was also employed at UCD Stronsem 90 Department. Adeline enjoyed dancing, fishing and hunting. She was an excellent seamstress, working for Winters Department Store and several cleaners in Davis. Adeline also had her own seamstress business and designed many wedding gowns. She is a past member of Skip-a-Stitch Club, VFW mothers and Cabrillo Club of Woodland. In 1984, she married Willard Ramey and resided in Grass Valley. They enjoyed traveling the United States. After Willard Passed, she returned to Davis and lived in Rancho Yolo Mobile Home Park for many years. Adeline is survived by her three Santos children: Ruth (Marvin) Webster of Davis, Eleanor (Marvin) Weiss of Roseville and Charles (Rebecca) Santos of Davis; youngest sister, Genevieve Alameda; grandchildren: John (Barbara) Webster, Sr., Ken (Amy) Webster, Daniel Schneider, Sr., Steven and Cordilia Santos; great-grandchildren: John Webser, Jr. Kayla (Webster) Wease, Amber Webster, Matthew Nortker and D.J. Schneider, Jr.; great-great-grandchild: Julia Wease as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church, 14th & B Streets in Davis.
