Carlos Bustamante Keppers, 22, beloved son, sadly passed away and entered his eternal heavenly home on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. The sunset of his life was when he was hit by a drunk driver in Davis, California.
Carlos grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from East High School where he enjoyed diversity, cross country running and skiing. Carlos played the violin for several years and was member of the Anchorage Youth Orchestra. Upon high school graduation Carlos attended UC Davis and enjoyed campus life. He was due to graduate in June 2023. He earned and was honored by UC Davis with his posthumous Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics. His favorite classes were in political science and the source of frequent passionate discussion. Carlos was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. All who knew him appreciated his love for others and his beautiful smile. He was a light to all who knew him.
Carlos leaves behind his loving parents, Craig and Dona Keppers, and his two dogs, Scout (13) and Augustus Aurelius (22 months) of Anchorage, Alaska. He is also survived by his loving family: Grandmother Rosa R. Bustamante, his aunts, Debi Bustamante, the Lucinda B. Pouncey Family and his uncle, the John Bustamante Family in Texas; the Robert Keppers Family, the Dennis Keppers Family, and Glen Keppers of Minnesota, Ohio, and North Dakota; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
In loving memory, his family invites all who knew and loved Carlos to his Celebration of Life event at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Putah Creek Lodge along the Arboretum on the UC Davis campus. They welcome stories, pictures, and memories of his life beautifully lived.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM at ChangePoint Church: 6689 Changepoint Dr, Anchorage, AK 99518.
