Carolyn Simmons

Carolyn Sue Simmons died May 30, 2012. Born July 15, 1934, in Alameda, she was 77 years old. She moved from Oakland to Davis with her family when she was 16 years old. She was an administrative assistant with the UC Davis geography department for 21 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gladys White. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John M. Simmons; her children, Julie Rose and Vickie Reina; her stepchildren, Steve Simmons, Julie Martin, Tami Dockter and Leslie Simmons; her brother, Roger White; her grandchildren, Tiffanie, Tawyna, Christie, Charlie, Nicole, Rachel, Dustin, Ryan and Nicole; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, June 4, at Wiscombe's Funeral Home, 116 D St. in downtown Davis. IN lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Yolo Hospice, (530) 758-5566.
