Donna Carol McNay, 72, of Davis, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at U.C. Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. She had been an area resident for 33 years.
Donna was born May 17, 1938 in Long Beach, California to Dorothy Schook and William Hauman. She had many hobbies and interests including: cross-stitching, sewing, reading, raising dogs, cooking, especially coming up with new recipes, traveling to historical places, photography, fashion, collectables (Boyds Bears), bikes, antiques, bird houses and home decorating. Donna also had a green thumb and enjoyed planting. She felt that it would be fun to become a licensed cosmetologist and was successful in doing so. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spent as a homemaker, caring for her husband and children.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy and step-father, John Haigler and father, William and step-mother Flo Hauman.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mike McNay; children: Greg (Shannon) Maples, Tod (Shelby) McNay and Keri (Scott) Manion; grandchildren: Nicole Maples, Melissa McNay, Kim Munn, Brook, Claire and Parker Manion.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Wiscombe Funeral Home, 116 D Street in Davis.
