Eva Prokopiv

Eva Prokopiv, 98, of Davis passed away January 10, 2025 in Woodland.  She was born August 16, 1926 in New Jersey to Harry and Anna Prokopiv.  She had been an area resident for over 45 years. 

Eva was one of a very few chosen from a group of graduates to work in a plastic laboratory in New Jersey where she did research on what chemicals and types of industrial materials (Styrofoam, Orlon and other plastics) would best work as packaging for food.  This research assisted with food preservation and shelf-life.  Her research was instrumental in helping companies market food safety.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 17, 2025 from 9:30 to 9:50 AM, with a funeral at 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery.
