In the early morning hours of Saturday, February 7th, Gabriel Alexander Provost unexpectedly passed away in his sleep of unknown, natural causes at the age of 34. Born 6/17/80, Gabe was brought up by his loving father, Ken Provost, along with his sister, Becca Elam, in San Jose, where he graduated Lynbrook High School in '98 with a tight-knit group of close and lifelong friends, affectionately known as the "San Jo Crew." A talented artist, free thinker and passionate speaker, Gabe was a 4th year, 4.0 student of Environmental Science and Management at UC Davis. Kind, caring, gentle and loving, fatherhood was at the heart of Gabe's way of life and he was always his best in the constant company of his two daughters, Berlin and Sierra, ages 5 and not quite 3. After two kids and nearly 11 years of marriage, Gabe and his wife Kristin Provost were still in love in a way that was visible and inspirational to those around them. In addition to his wife and children, Gabe is survived by his father, his sister and niece and many, many loving friends in Davis and around the world. A celebration of Gabe's life will be held at Putah Creek Lodge in Davis on Sunday, February 15th from 1:00 - 5:00. All who wish to attend are welcome.
