Gerald Schuyler Hayes October 21, 1962 - July 16, 2015
Gerald "Jerry" Hayes passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a long illness. He was quite the entrepreneur and began many successful businesses, most notably: Curb I.D. and Hayes' Sunscreens and Window Coverings. He coached basketball for the City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Program for 3 years. He felt that teaching the youth of Lincoln the art of sportsmanship and team building was his greatest achievement.
Pre-deceased by his mother, Jo Marie Anderson Hayes, and his son, Mitchell Jones, Jerry is survived by his wife, Anna Hayes; children, Gerald E. Hayes, Kate Moss, Schuyler Hayes, Kaylie Jones, Jimmy Bradshaw, Alex Bradshaw and Lexyi Conrad; grand-children, Taniya Hayes, Eliana Moss and Braedyn & Levi Jones, whom he adored, and many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wed., July 22, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Smith Funeral Home, 116 D. Street, Davis, CA 95616 (530) 758-5500. A private memorial celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a later date. Those who wish to sign a guestbook online may do so at www.smith-funerals.com.
