Jacob "Jack" DeWit

Husband, father, Grandpa, Papa, Partner, Mentor, Coach, Friend

Captain Jack went home to glory on August 28th, 2019 knowing he was loved by so many.  At his bedside was his beloved wife of 56 years, Bonnie, his daughter Debra (Tony Giannoni), sons Mike (Trucie) and John (Tracy) with grandchildren Jacob, Debra, Abigail, Samuel, and Zachary.

Jack lived life to the fullest.  He loved God, people, places, and any adventure or challenge put before him.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Sutter Davis Hospital, Yolo Hospice, and Robert, Seta, & Tai,  his home care givers.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you” -Matthew 6:33

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jack's memory to Yolo Hospice (1909 Galileo Court, Suite A; Davis, CA 95616) OR to Pacific Autism Center for Education PACE Development Department (1880 Pruneridge Ave.;  Santa Clara, CA 95050).

A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 1:00 PM at University Covenant Church (315 Mace Blvd., Davis, CA).  A reception will follow at the Veteran's Memorial Center (203 E. 14th St., Davis, CA).
