James W.T. Pollock, 83, of Davis, passed away Friday, November 21, 2008 at his residence. He had been an area resident for 50 years.
James was born October 31, 1923 in Iowa City, Iowa to Ivan and Ethel Pollock. He was active in the Davis Democratic Club, a voracious reader and world traveler. James was also an avid sports fan and especially loved to watch football, baseball and basketball.
James was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Priscilla Schuman; and nephew, Steve Schuman.
James is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Meister Pollock; sister, Helen Groom; nephew, Robert Schuman and niece, Alison Groom.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 1:30 P.M. at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery; 5810 Midway Road; Dixon, CA 95620.
