Janell Brubaker

JANELL OWENS BRUBAKER, age 57, of Davis, CA, passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 in Sacramento, CA, as a result of brain cancer. Janell was born August 30, 1951 in Monticello, Utah to parents Duane and Doris Owens. She grew up in Ojai, CA and was married for all time and eternity to Bruce C. Brubaker on November 20, 1971. After having 7 children and living many places, including Placerville and Camino, they settled in Davis, CA. Janell loves her family, and was always willing to make any sacrifice on their behalf. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was an honorable member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Janell enjoyed baking bread, Christmas and other holidays, taking pictures and sharing all that she had to bring happiness to others. She is survived by husband Bruce Brubaker; sons David, Jason, Richard, Michael and Stephen Brubaker; by daughters Melanie Crookston and Amy Johnson; 14 grandchildren; parents Duane and Doris Owens; brothers Jaret and Brian Owens; and sister Linda Perkins. She was preceded in death by her sister Annette Owens. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14th at 10:00 A.M. with a viewing at 9:00 A.M. at the Latter-day Saint Chapel, located on 785 Elmwood Dr., Davis, CA. Interment will be at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville, CA.
