Jose Allarey

JOSE MARI JOPET ALLAREY, Senior Computer Architect in the CPU Architecture team in Intel Folsom passed away on August 20, 2009. His family, colleagues and friends are extremely shocked and saddened due to his unexpected demise. Jose was born April 15, 1970 in Manila, Philippines to Delia and Nestor Allarey. He has been resident of Yolo County for seven years.

Jose joined Intel in April 1998 and was a member of Folsom team for his 11-year career at Intel. He worked on many CPU projects. His main focus area was in Power/Thermal Management and he played a key role in developing new features, Power/Thermal estimation tools and contributed significantly to pioneering Validation tools and methodologies. His contributions enabled Intel CPUs to achieve world class power/performance metrics. He has one issued Patent and several more pending in the area of power management and has published many papers in this domain.

In his spare time, Jose liked to play badminton and ping pong or spend time with his family. Jose was also active in the Couples for Christ, a Catholic Family Renewal Ministry. He always treated all his co-workers with respect and was willing to go out of his way to help. His colleagues remember him as a very sincere, disciplined and humble person always with a friendly and personable attitude. Family and friends admired him for his dedication as a husband and father. Jose was 39 years of age and is survived by his wife and 3 young children.

Jose was preceded in death by his father, Nestor Allarey.

Jose is survived by his wife of seven years, Mary Jean Allarey; children: Pia Isabel, Alexander Joseph, Gianna Mari; mother, Delia Allarey and brother, Anthony Allarey.

Visitations will be held Wednesday, September 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Friday, September 4 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy at 3:00 P.M. and a Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M., all at Wiscombe Funeral Home, 116 D Street in Davis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church; 1275 B Street in Davis. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery; 820 Pole Line Road. A reception will follow the burial at St James Memorial Center.
