Judith (Hazlett) Starsinic passed away peacefully in August. Her early years were spent in East Washington, PA with her parents, Dr. Frank Hazlett and Ruth (Gates) Hazlett, and four sisters, with whom she had a lifelong bond and friendship. She attended Morris Harvey College where she met her husband Francis (Frank). They married in 1960 and raised three children, Frank, Mark, and Carolyn. They lived first in the Midwest then moved to Encinitas, CA, where Judy worked as an administrative assistant. In later years, she moved to Northern California to be closer to family. Judy was an athlete throughout her life including swimming and horseback riding but her favorite sport was tennis and she played competitively into her 70s. She spent many happy hours on the courts. She loved doing genealogy research and sharing stories with her family. Judy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She always had a smile and compliment for everyone and maintained a positive spirit throughout her life, even when faced with adversity. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Frank. She is survived by her children, Frank (Nicole), Mark, and Carolyn; grandchildren Mary (Soufiane) and Dylan; great-grandchild Kenza; sisters Ellen (John), Carolyn, Janet, and Edna; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be missed by many.
