Maynard Loren Finley passed away at home in Kelseyville, CA on January 16, 2025, at the age of eighty-six after a brief battle with Pneumonia. He was born into the farming community of Spokane Washington on June 9, 1938. He excelled in several sports including baseball, football, basketball and Track and Field. He married the love of his life, Barbara CleAnn Ockerman on January 10, 1959. He was a trade welder and worked at Puget Sound and Mare Island Naval shipyards. He retired after a long and prestigious 36-year career. He had a very generous heart and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Maynard was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved to spend time with family and friends, fishing and traveling around in his RV. Maynard loved the gift of gab and would strike up a conversation or share a story with anyone he could.
Maynard will be missed dearly and will live in our hearts forever.
Maynard was predeceased by his beloved wife, brothers Bernard and Norman Finley and his son Randall Finley.
He is survived by his children, Ginger Hunt, Kristina Christensen, Grandchildren, Christopher Finley, Matthew Finley, Michelle Carmichael, James Hunt, Courtney Hunt, Colin Christensen, Tara Christensen, Jenna Christensen and nine great grandchildren.
The service will be held Wednesday February 5th at 11am at the Davis Cemetery District 820 Pole Line Rd. Davis CA. A lunch reception will be held at the Christensen home at 2147 Humboldt Ave. Davis CA following the service.
