Nicholas Schmit

Nick was born January 15, 1972. He moved to Davis is 1974 with his parents and sisters. He lived here for the remainder of his life, except for a five year adventure to Brazil. He died in the arms of God, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family and the exceptional staff at Sutter Davis Hospital. Nick was a generous person and a friend to everyone he met. He worked as a carpenter in Davis and Sacramento. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Edward and Bertha, sisters, Denise (Marc), and Danielle (Steven), numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; especially Victoria and Jonathan, his Auntie Helena whom he grew up with. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, 14th and B, at 11:00 am on Friday, December 20, 2013. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Internment will take place in the Davis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to organizations in Davis serving the needy (Davis Community Meals, STEAC, St Vincent De Paul - St James, etc.).
