Ransom Leland Baldwin the fifth, 72, of Davis, passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 in Sacramento.
Ransom was born September 21, 1935 in Meriden, Connecticut. He was a Professor Emeritus at U.C. Davis Animal Science Division, a member or National Academy of Sciences and an author of over 300 publications dealing with animal nutrition.
Ransom is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Baldwin of Davis; children: Cheryl Choat of Sacramento, Ramsom Baldwin the sixth of Finskburg, Maryland and Robert Baldwin of Placerville; six grandchildren as well as many other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at University Retirement Community, 1515 Shasta Drive in Davis.
