Teresa Mairead Jamison

Teresa Mairead (Laverty) Jamison passed away at home on October 5, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind a large, loving family including three daughters and their partners (Denneal and Steven, Nicole and Beau, Shannon and Jason), four grandchildren (Madeline, Robert, Alexander, and Jenna), six sisters (Kathleen, Mary, Pauline, Roisin, Annie, and Sharon) and their families, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the US and abroad. She was preceded in death by her parents (Charles and Theresa) and brother (Eugene). Born in Ireland, she immigrated to California with her family in the 1950’s and grew up in the Bay Area. She had a creative, artistic spirit and loved interior design, having a long career in retail furniture sales. 

In retirement, she enjoyed walking in the UC Davis Arboretum, planning holiday events for the family, and visits to her favorite beach in Marin County. A member of the Davis community since the 1990’s, she attended St. James Catholic Church, was a member of Davis Odd Fellows Lodge, and looked forward to community events, like the Davis Farmer’s Market, annual July 4th celebrations, live musical performances at the high school, and the annual Downtown Davis Christmas Tree Lighting.

A viewing and rosary will take place on Friday, October 11th, 5-8pm at Smith Funeral Home (116 D Street, Davis, CA 95616). The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2pm at St. James Catholic Church (1275 B Street, Davis, CA 95616) with a reception to follow in the parish hall.
