Victor Bussard

Victor L. Bussard, 83, of Winters passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2010 at Sutter Davis Hospital. He had been an area resident for 59 years.
Victor was born January 15, 1927 in Lipscomb, Texas to Oliver and Lottie Bussard. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 3 years and got out in 1946 with an honorable discharge. Victor worked for Cranston Brothers is Woodland for 7 years, then he and his wife owned Orrick Oils in Winters, retiring after 35 years, in March 1992. He belonged to Senior Gleaners of Sacramento for 5 years, Lions Club since 1975. Victor served as co-chairman for Blood Source also since 1975 and donated for years until was no longer allowed to due to health reasons. He and his wife, Viola enjoyed traveling to all the western states in their RV and loved to fish, but not eat them!
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Viola Bussard of Winters, CA; children: Elmer (Chrissy) Bussard of Nevada City, CA and Viola (David) Kidder of Winters, CA and his grandchildren: Julie Morales-Tony and her daughter Sophia and Michelle Bussard-Ryan and her son, Aiden.
To honor Victors wishes, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Lyons Club of Winters.
